By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. About The Whole Celiac

The Whole Celiac provides:

• Nurse practitioner-led telehealth medical services for eligible patients physically located in Washington or Oregon at the time of care, subject to provider licensure, clinical appropriateness, and applicable law; and
• Non-clinical celiac education and coaching services offered nationwide, subject to applicable law.

Medical services and coaching services are separate services with different purposes, limitations, intake requirements, and professional relationships.

2. Website Information Is Educational

The general information available on this website—including blog posts, articles, videos, downloads, social media content, recipes, checklists, and other educational materials—is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

General website content is not individualized medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. It should not replace evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or advice from your physician or another qualified healthcare professional.

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking care because of information you read on this website.

3. No Automatic Provider-Patient Relationship

Visiting this website, reading its content, submitting a contact form, requesting a consultation, subscribing to communications, or communicating through ordinary email or social media does not create a provider-patient relationship.

A provider-patient relationship is established only when The Whole Celiac has:

1. Confirmed that you are eligible to receive medical services;
2. Accepted you as a patient;
3. Completed the appropriate clinical intake and consent process; and
4. Provided a clinical evaluation or other professional healthcare service through an approved telehealth method.

Requesting or scheduling an appointment does not guarantee acceptance as a patient or establish an ongoing provider-patient relationship.

4. Medical Services

Medical services are provided only where The Whole Celiac’s healthcare professional is appropriately licensed or otherwise legally authorized to practice and where telehealth care is clinically appropriate.

For medical appointments, you must accurately report your physical location at the beginning of each visit. At this time, medical services are generally limited to eligible patients physically located in Washington or Oregon during the appointment.

Medical care may include assessment, education, care planning, disease monitoring, laboratory review, or other services within the provider’s professional scope of practice. Not every condition or concern can be evaluated or treated through telehealth. We may recommend in-person care, additional testing, specialty consultation, or evaluation by another healthcare professional when appropriate.

Medical patients may be required to review and sign additional documents, including informed consent, telehealth consent, financial policies, privacy notices, and practice policies. If those documents conflict with these general website Terms regarding clinical care, the more specific clinical agreement or legally required policy will control.

5. Coaching and Educational Services

Coaching is a non-clinical educational and supportive service. Coaching may address topics such as:

• Understanding general celiac disease information;
• Transitioning to a gluten-free lifestyle;
• Reading food labels;
• Reducing gluten cross-contact;
• Navigating restaurants, travel, school, work, and social situations; and
• Developing practical routines and questions to discuss with your healthcare team.

Coaching does not include diagnosing a medical condition, prescribing treatment, prescribing or changing medication, interpreting laboratory results for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment, or creating an individualized medical treatment plan.

A coaching relationship does not create a provider-patient relationship, even when coaching is delivered by a licensed healthcare professional. Coaching is not a substitute for care from your physician, gastroenterologist, registered dietitian, emergency department, or other qualified healthcare professional.

If your needs are outside the scope of coaching, you may be advised to contact an appropriately licensed healthcare provider.

6. Emergencies and Urgent Medical Concerns

The website, contact form, email, social media accounts, coaching services, and routine telehealth services are not emergency services and should not be used for urgent or life-threatening concerns.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are experiencing an urgent but non-emergency concern, contact an appropriate local healthcare provider or urgent care service.

Do not send emergency or time-sensitive medical information through the website contact form, ordinary email, or social media.

7. Eligibility and Minors

You must be at least 18 years old to independently use or purchase services through this website.

Services for a minor must be arranged by a parent or legal guardian who has the legal authority to consent, subject to applicable state law. The parent or legal guardian may be required to participate in appointments, complete forms, provide accurate health information, and accept financial responsibility.

8. Scheduling, Cancellations, and Missed Appointments

Appointment availability is not guaranteed. Scheduling may be subject to eligibility review, completion of required forms, payment requirements, provider availability, and clinical appropriateness.

Cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, and missed-appointment policies will be disclosed during scheduling, intake, or registration. By scheduling an appointment, you agree to the policies presented to you at that time.

We may cancel, reschedule, decline, or discontinue a service when reasonably necessary, including when:

• Required forms or payments have not been completed;
• The service is not appropriate for telehealth or coaching;
• You are outside an authorized service area;
• Technology or safety concerns prevent the service;
• The requested service is outside our professional scope; or
• Continuing the relationship would violate professional, ethical, or legal obligations.

Discontinuation of medical care will be handled in accordance with applicable professional and legal requirements.

9. Fees, Payments, and Refunds

Fees will be disclosed before you complete a purchase or appointment booking. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize applicable charges for the services you select.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, coaching and educational services are self-pay services. Medical-service billing, insurance reimbursement, superbills, or eligibility for health savings account or flexible spending account reimbursement may vary. We do not guarantee that an insurer, employer plan, HSA administrator, or FSA administrator will reimburse any service.

Refund eligibility, if any, will be governed by the policy presented at the time of purchase or booking. Completed appointments and services already provided are generally not refundable except when required by law or expressly stated in the applicable service agreement.

10. Accuracy of Information You Provide

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when contacting The Whole Celiac, creating an account, completing intake forms, scheduling services, or participating in an appointment.

For medical care, you are responsible for providing relevant health history, medications, allergies, symptoms, laboratory results, and other information needed to support safe care. You must notify your provider when information changes.

The Whole Celiac is not responsible for harm resulting from materially inaccurate, incomplete, or withheld information.

11. No Guarantee of Results

Health, symptom, laboratory, lifestyle, and behavioral outcomes vary from person to person. The Whole Celiac does not promise or guarantee any particular result from medical services, coaching, educational content, recipes, products, or recommendations.

Testimonials or descriptions of other people’s experiences represent individual experiences and do not guarantee that you will achieve the same results.

12. Nutrition, Recipes, and Product Information

Recipes, meal ideas, restaurant information, product suggestions, and discussions of gluten-free practices are provided for general educational purposes unless specifically incorporated into an individualized professional service.

Ingredients, manufacturing practices, restaurant procedures, labels, allergen statements, and product formulations can change. You are responsible for reviewing current labels, contacting manufacturers or restaurants when necessary, and determining whether a product or meal is appropriate for your medical needs and other allergies or intolerances.

Mention of a product, business, restaurant, supplement, or service does not necessarily constitute an endorsement or guarantee of safety.

Your use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Medical patients should also review our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Do not submit sensitive medical information through ordinary email, social media, public comments, or website forms unless the form is specifically identified as secure and appropriate for that purpose. Medical communications and records should be exchanged through the designated secure patient platform whenever possible.

Electronic communications may experience delays, interruptions, delivery failures, or unauthorized access despite reasonable safeguards. We cannot guarantee that ordinary email or social media communication will be secure or reviewed immediately.
